Out and About

Local shop:
There is a Tesco Express about a 3 minute walk away open from 7am till 11pm including Sundays!  It sells newspapers and also has a Post Office.

Eating and drinking:
There’s a wide range of cafes for lunch or a quick snack.  Our favourite is Charlie Harper’s  - 5 Eastgate Square - which does an excellent breakfast from 7.45 am.

For evening meals there are many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance based around St. Pancras.  One of our favourites is Woodies (http://www.woodiesbrasserie.com).  The closest is Harry’s Fish bar is just around the corner of St, James Road in Victoria Road.

There are two pleasant pubs within a short distance, the Chequers to the left and the Four Chesnuts to the right.

Chemists:
The nearest chemist is Eastgate Pharmacy, in Eastgate Square.  There is a Boots in North Street, right in the centre of town, near the market cross.

General Shopping:
From boutiques to high street brand names, department stores to small unique shops there are plenty of places to have retail therapy. The city is laid in an X shape, with North, South, East sand West Street, so you cannot get lost - simply shop the cross streets.

Superstores:
Sainsbury’s and BHS have large stores on the retail park in Westhampnett Road, which is just a few minutes by car.
There is a large Tesco in Fishbourne Road East and a large Waitrose near Chichester station.  All of them have large car-parks.

Petrol:
The nearest petrol station is at Sainsbury Superstore.

Cinema:
Cineworld Multiplex Cinema @ Chichester Gate near the railway Station.

Markets:
Local market in Market Road, selling food and clothing.
Market days: Wed and Sat
